About the work
J Clan is both a choreographic project and a transmission programme. It brings together a new generation of artists through locking practice, the history of funk cultures and learning through movement.
Artistic approach
Created by Julia Ortola in 2024, J Clan is a group of young dancers inspired by the family structures found in krump culture.
The project develops training, choreographic works, performances and transmission initiatives centred on locking and funk cultures.
Conceived as a space for artistic and personal support, J Clan helps train a new generation of performers and transmitters of knowledge.
